Dr. Anita Knudson
Dr. Knudson completed her undergraduate work at SUNY at Stonybrook in New York. She received her veterinary degree from Colorado State University Veterinary School in 1993. She has worked in the Boulder-Longmont area since graduation. Dr Knudson opened Coal Ridge Animal Hospital on October 1, 2001. In addition to practicing small animal medicine she enjoys volunteering in the local community. She has set up a program to assist the local municipalities with the feral cat population and provide care for the local police dogs.

Dr. Kristin Vyhnal
Dr. Kristin Vyhnal grew up in northern California before moving to Ithaca, New York, to complete her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Cornell University.  Since graduating in 2006, she has completed an internship in emergency and critical care, and practiced in Rhode Island, Canada, and Chicago.  Dr. Vyhnal’s areas of interest include nutrition, autoimmune diseases, and avian medicine.  She also communicates effectively in Spanish, and is looking forward to working with the Longmont community to keep their pets healthy and happy.

Services
Coal Ridge provides general veterinary services emphasizing wellness and preventative medicine. We offer high quality surgical services including routine and some specialty surgeries. We work closely with local specialists and Colorado State University to insure our patients the highest level of care. We offer a senior citizen discount to those over 60 years old.

Wellness Exams and Packages
We offer wellness packages for all new puppies and kittens under 6 months. These packages include a free initial exam, first set of puppy and kitten vaccines, and two nail trims.
